Origins of VISION QUEST
The Vision Quest is a sacred ceremony, steeped in tradition, designed to call in a new vision for your life or next chapter.
It offers a gateway to deeper self-discovery, mastery, and clarity.
At Wild Tribes, we hold a vision to share this transformative, nature-based, solo rite of passage with all who feel called—irrespective of gender, lineage, race, or culture.
Kat Sforcina, founder of Wild Tribes, is an initiated Vision Quest guide in the Stalking Wolf lineage (Lipan Apache) and, along with her experienced team, will guide you through this powerful, life changing journey.

What happens during a vision quest?
​Our [Held] Vision Quest is a fully immersive 3months long program that includes your 8-nights / 9-days nature-based Vision Quest Ceremony. The program is divided into three key phases:
PHASE ONE - Preparation
This component starts with our 1.5 hour zoom call three weeks before we meet in-person. On the call we all get together and answer any questions regarding equipment and learn some tools and techniques that are a great support in your personal preparation.We will also ensure everyone is clear on transport and getting to the location and enjoy a general opportunity to connect as a group to check-in with where everyone is at.
Once you have arrived on-site, the preparation phase continues, making up the first two days and nights of the face-to-face component of your time with us. During this time you will be given the opportunity to meet and connect with country and integrate your energy with the collective group who will also be questing in their own respective vision quests sites at the same time as you are in yours.
The preparation phase also includes a number of practical workshops to ensure your Vision Quest site is fully prepared for your sacred experience as well as theory based workshops to give you a comprehensive set of personal self-mastery and awareness tools to ensure your ability to successfully navigate anything that may come up for you during your experience.
By the end of this preparation phase you will feel 100% capable of navigating and completing all
aspects of the Vision Quest Ceremony component of the face-to-face experience.
PHASE TWO - The Vision Quest ceremony

Your Vision Quest Ceremony takes up the next four days and four nights. ​

The heart of YOUR journey lies in the four days and nights you’ll spend alone in nature, fasting from food (unless medically necessary), distractions, and modern-day conveniences. In this stillness, nature becomes your closest companion and wisest teacher, creating space for the seeds of what you are seeking to come alive within you and your vision revealed .

Ultimately, how this time will unfold for you will be unique to you, amplified only by the intentions
you have taken into your Vision Quest circle and the intensity of the commitment to the overall process of meeting those intentions that you put in to it.

PHASE THREE - Integration
​
This last two days and nights round out the face-to-face component of your time with us.
Over this two day period we gently guide you, with care and compassion, back into a state of being
that ensures you are able return to your everyday life with the tools and resources so the fullest potency of your Vision Quest experience can continue to ripple out throughout your life in life-affirming, positive ways.

Once you are back home, in your everyday environment, we then have an additional two 1.5hr Zoom calls together as a collective to continue supporting the integration of your Vision Quest experience whilst we enjoy further weaving of the collective connections formed with each other.

A little about the land you will be questing on
Nestled in Central NSW (5.5 hours west of Sydney, 4hrs west of Newcastle) is a secluded 2,500-acre privately held bushland property that is backed by the Warrumbungles national park on three sides.
​
Here, we find ourselves at the intersection of three Indigenous language groups: Wayilwan, Gamilaraay, and Wiradjuri.
We quest, on this privately held property, at the base of the highest peak of the Warrumbungles,
Apu (mountain) Exmouth, whilch also happens to be in the middle of the southern hemisphere’s only national sky park. Apu Wombolong and "Monkey Rock" also tower over the quest area and are the breeding grounds for the Wedge Tailed Eagles in the area, so we often get the incredible opportunity to see them take to the skies during our Vision Quests.
Having been given permission from the indigenous elders of these lands, the spirit of the lands, as well as the custodians of the privately held property to run Vision Quest and nature connection programs here, these lands offer our guests stunning natural beauty by day and awe-inspiring stargazing by night.
You have to experience it to believe it, but this country is pure medicine. Truly one of the most magical, connected places we feel you could ever Vision Quest on in the southern hemisphere. And this is no exaggeration.

We seek to maintain deep connection with the Ancestors and indigenous traditions of this region and welcome the Elders to join us whenever their schedules allow them to do so.

Camping Accommodation
Camping on a secluded 2500-acre privately held bushland property at the foot of the Warrumbungles Mountain Range in Central NSW, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature.
This is a wilderness immersion experience so camping faciities are basic (on purpose) and include hot bucket baths, a drop toilet and a camp kitchen. The Vision Quest is self-drive, BYO tent and sleeping gear unless pre-arranged - see options at ticketing.
